So much variation with so little color

I am going to have to examine this one CLOSELY to see what I think.  The blues are very close to the same color, but he gives texture with the direction and thickness of brush strokes and a slightly darker or lighter shade.  Nicely done on the grass and walls.  It does sort of make me sad that he died at 52.  That’s one year older than me!   His grass, with the dark blue tufts, – very Van Gogh, don’t you think?  Reminds me of his hay stacks and wheat fields.  The painting is The Lock Master’s House, Boston by John Blair Anderson (1945-1997)
